SUTAPA AMORNVIVAT, PH.D.
Chief Economist and First Executive Vice President
Sutapa Amornvivat is Chief Economist and First Executive Vice President at Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), where she leads the Economic Intelligence Center. She previously set up and led Risk Analytics Division under Risk Management Group. Sutapa currently sits on Subcommittee on Finance, Banking, Financial Institutions and Capital Markets, The National Legislative Assembly.

Before SCB, Sutapa founded Risk Analytics and Research Group at TMB Bank during her secondment from ING Group, where she worked in various departments in risk management. Prior to joining the banking industry, Sutapa was Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, DC. She had also served as Director of Macroeconomic Analysis Section at the Thai Ministry of Finance.

Sutapa's academic contribution includes lecturing at various universities in Asia including Hitotsubashi University, the Indian Institute of Technology, Chulalongkorn University, and National University of Singapore.

Sutapa holds an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and a doctorate degree in Economics, Management, and Policy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) She was a recipient of Thailand's most prestigious King's Scholarship, awarded to five scholars in an annual nationwide competition.
ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL MARKET RESEARCH
PHACHARAPHOT NUNTRAMAS, PH.D.
HEAD OF ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL MARKET RESEARCH
Phacharaphot Nuntramas is an economist with extensive experience in Thailand’s banking industry. He currently leads a team of economists covering global economic development and drawing business implications for Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and the bank’s clients. Previously, he was in Credit Risk Analytics Division under Risk Management Group, responsible for macro-prudential risk monitoring and stress testing.

Before SCB, Phacharaphot was Assistant Professor of Economics at San Diego State University, USA. His areas of interest include macroeconomics and international finance, and his academic research was published in the Journal of International Money and Finance. He was also an intern at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC.

Phacharaphot received a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honors) in Economics from Thammasat University and a doctorate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
KITTIPONG RUEANTHIP
SENIOR ECONOMIST
Kittipong has research experience in development economics, labor economics and financial economics. He has extensive knowledge in micro-econometrics and utilizing household data. He used to work as a researcher at the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) and a visiting research fellow at a graduate school of economics, Nagoya University.

Kittipong graduated in Bachelor of Economics, International program, from Thammasat University and Master of Development Economics from University of East Anglia (UEA), UK. He is expected to receive a Ph.D. in Economics (English program) from the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce under the Thai Royal Jubilee Scholarship. During Ph.D. study, he has experience as an exchange student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA.
KRASAE RANGSIPOL
SENIOR ECONOMIST
Krasae has experience in the area of macroeconomic analysis and forecast. He specializes in using quantitative models as a tool. He formerly worked as a researcher in the macroeconomic program at the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI). After that, he worked for the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) as an economist. At the FPO, he was responsible for producing quarterly macroeconomic forecasts as well as public policy analyses.


Krasae received his Bachelor's degree in Economics with a Quantitative Economics major from Chulalongkorn University. He was awarded a Royal Thai Government scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Economics degree from University of Warwick, UK. He also received certificates for various training courses from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
THANAPOL SRITHANPONG, PH.D.
SENIOR ECONOMIST
Thanapol has experience in conducting research in the field of international economics and has worked on several empirical studies concerning the Thai economy, especially concerning micro-level analysis. His firm-level studies are related to international trade, foreign direct investment, and firm performance by utilizing applications from microeconometrics and business economics. Apart from academics, he had an internship experience at Siam Commercial Bank Asset Management (SCBAM) and the Bank of Thailand in the Monetary Policy Group during his undergraduate studies. He also worked as an information officer for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Tokyo Office) during his studies in Japan.


Thanapol received a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honors with Gold Medal Award) in Economics from Chulalongkorn University. He was awarded a Japanese Government Scholarship to pursue his graduate studies and received his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Business and Commerce from Keio University, Japan.
WACHIRAWAT BANCHUEN
SENIOR ECONOMIST
Wachirawat served as a senior economist at the Bank of Thailand. He was responsible for conducting research/analysis for the Monetary Policy Group. His main contribution was in the exchange rate policy strategy. Prior to that he served as a senior strategist at the Reserves Management department. His main responsibilities were formulating investment strategies and forecasting financial assets returns, e.g. EM exchange rates and bond yields. His expertise is in econometrics, forecasting, and optimization models. He also has research publication regarding term structures on PIER website.

Wachirawat received his Bachelor of Economics, International program (First class honor), from Thammasat University. He received Master of Science in Economics degree from University of Warwick, UK. He also received certificates for various training courses from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
JIRAMON SUTHEERACHART
ANALYST
Jiramon previously worked as an economic consultant at The World Bank in Macroeconomics & Fiscal Management before moving to Finance & Market department. She has experience in working on Thailand’s Economic Monitor and initiating development projects for CLMV countries. During her academic year, she had an internship with Office of the Auditor General of Thailand in Performance Audit Office.

Jiramon graduated from Thammasat University with Bachelor of Economics in International Economics Major.
KUNYARUK NAIYARAKSAREE
ANALYST
Kunyaruk formerly worked as a research assistant for Economic Research and Training Center (ERTC), Thammasat University, with specialization on Foreign Direct Investment in Lao PDR. Prior to that, Kunyaruk worked with managerial accounting team at Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, where she was responsible for factory investment budget allocation and analysis.

Kunyaruk received her Bachelor of Economics, International program (Second class honor) from Thammasat University, and spent a year as an exchange student at Linnaeus University, Sweden.
PANG-UBON AMNUEYSIT
ANALYST
Pang-ubon previously worked for the Revenue Department of Thailand as Tax Economist, her responsibilities were forecasting monitoring and analyzing tax revenue collection, setting up and monitoring tax revenue collection target, analyzing economics and business performance for tax revenue collection purpose and managing data for tax policy’s cost-benefit analysis. She also has experience in working on macroeconomics analysis and revenue forecasting using quantitative model and data analytics tools.

Pang-ubon graduated from Chulalongkorn University with Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Second-Class Honors) in Quantitative Economics. She was awarded a Royal Thai Government Scholarship to pursue a MSc. in Economics at University of Warwick, UK. In addition, she received certificates in ‘Effective and Efficient Use of Tax Incentives’ from Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

Pimnipa had an internship experience with Bank of Thailand in Economic Intelligence Team, Monetary Policy Group, Macroeconomic and Monetary Policy Department. She also received the first place of Bank of Thailand’s Setthatat Economic Paper Competition 2016.

Pimnipa graduated from Thammasat University with Bachelor of Economics degree in a Quantitative and Theoretical Economics major, International program (First Class Honors) and received the first place of B.E. Best Seminar Paper Award.
YUWANEE OUINONG

Yuwanee previously worked for a management and strategic consulting firm specializing in telecommunications, media, and technology sector. Prior to that, Yuwanee has internship experience with the Bank of Thailand in
Macroeconomics team, in the Department of Monetary and Economy Policy. She
also received award for her economics research from the Bank of Thailand’s Annual Economics Articles Competition.

Chotika has prior work experience as senior economist in the Monetary Policy Group at the Bank of Thailand, having held positions in the International Economies Division, Macroeconomic Team, and Economic Intelligence Team for over 10 years. As a central banker, she was awarded the scholarship by the Government of India to attend the three-month training in the Promotion of Financial Markets (PFMs). In addition, she has worked for a leading private firm in business development and project management.

Chotika received her BBA with Honors from Assumption University and a master's degree in International Business Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). As a MBA-exchange student, she was awarded the honorable certificate for participating in the International Business Linkage Program at Helsinki University of Technology, Finland.

Kon has extensive experiences in ASEAN industrial research. He specializes in manufacturing industry, especially production network in automotive industry. His other experiences including field research and business development in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. Prior to joining SCB she was a senior consultant with the Environmental Resources Management (ERM) advising leading Thai companies on sustainability and climate change.

Supree has consulting experience with State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) in the promotion of Private Sector in Public Private Partnership (PPPs) project. Kanchanok has prior work experience as a strategic planning analyst at Siam Cement Group. She also has past experience working at the Science and Technology Development Program at TDRI. As the Head of Product Management, Internet and Mobile Suite, she worked with global financial institutions such as the New York Stock Exchange, HSBC, Fidelity and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Anyarat holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from Thammasat University along with a master degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a PhD in Engineering Sciences from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, USA

Anyarat previously served as the adjunct instructor at Mahidol University, University Thai Chamber of Commerce and Kasem Bundit University. She was also instrumental in the development of an e-Education program for the Tungsong municipality, Nakorn Srithammarat.

Napat joined SCB in the Credit Risk Analytics division under the Risk Management Group. Prior to joining SCB, she worked at TMB Bank in the Risk Analytics and Research Group. She was also part of a working group of Bangkok Fashion Roadshow, a Government project supported by the Ministry of Industry, which was held in seven countries. In addition, she had been assistant of top executives of local and foreign companies, in various businesses including automotive and transportation, printing and publishing, agricultural chemical, and TV program production.

Sorroda has several years of experience working in the financial services industry. Before joining SCB, Sorroda worked at TMB in the Department of Wholesale Banking Underwriting. Prior to TMB, she worked as an interpreter at Muang Thai Life Assurance Company and held a position as Research Assistant at The Center for Economic and Business Forecasting, The University of Thai Chamber of Commerce.

Prior to joining SCB, Rata was the marketing manager of Rabbit Internet Co. Ltd. which is the member of BTS Group, the leading provider of passenger services in Bangkok. She managed and executed marketing activities including corporate marketing as well as digital marketing.

Rata received her Bachelor’s degree in Arts (German Major) from Thammasat University and Master of Business Administration (Marketing Major) from Thammasat University.
